Finsia’s Member Assistance Program

 

Finsia’s Member Assistance Program (MAP) is a professional and confidential  career and wellbeing counselling service provided to Finsia members at no cost. The program is designed to support our members through difficult personal or work-related issues. 

Professional support for members, available 24/7

 

The Finsia Member Assistance Program is available free of charge to all members 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Our counselling service comprises two hours per year of psychological assessment and professional counselling with experienced psychologists.

Members in New Zealand are only required to pay for the cost of the call to make a booking. You will be called back by a psychologist at the specified time that you have arranged.

NOTE: This is a confidential service provided by a third party - Davidson Trahaire Corpsych (Australia's leading providers of employee and member assistance programs). Finsia members can call in complete confidentially, calls are not recorded and information is not shared with Finsia.

Benefits of MAP

The Finsia MAP delivers the benefits of a traditional Employee Assistance Program but rather than contacted to a specific employment relationship, the benefit is open to all members - whether they are self-employed, between jobs or working for an organisation that does not provide an Employee assistance program

Finsia's MAP service comprises:

  • Provision of a comprehensive article library containing more than 800 wellbeing articles covering areas such as
    • work life (such as career development, workplace conflictm tean development);
    • family (such as parenting, childcare, eldercare and communication);
    • emotional wellbeing issues (such as stress, depression, anxiety, drugs, alcohol and addictions)
    • daily life (such as relationships, sleep, exercise and anger management)
 
  • Access to 2 hours free individualised telephone wellbeing coaching per 12 month period
    • Delivered by professional staff wtih signficant experience and expertise in psychological issues
    • Available to all members based in Australia and New Zealand
 
  • Free Career Performance Seminars offered to Finsia members as part of our schedule of events
    • Seminars include topics such as Building and Maintaining Effective Workplace Relationships and Maintaining Motivation and Morale during Change
