JASSA gaining worldwide recognition

JASSA, Finsia’s Journal of Applied Finance, has been accepted for inclusion in EconLit, the world-recognised American Economic Association publication, and in Social Sciences Citation Index, a Thomson Reuters service.

The publication continues to go from strength to strength, following design changes in 2007 and additional Editorial Board appointments and greater engagement with Finsia’s former education practitioners in 2008. The improvements have been well received by both academia and the industry, with an increase in submitted articles throughout 2008.

Finsia CEO, Martin Fahy, was delighted with the announcements.

“The acceptance of JASSA into Econlit and Social Sciences Citation Index is testament to the quality of the publication.”

“The listing will not only ensure a wider readership of JASSA articles, but will ensure we continue to attract leading authors of financial services research throughout the region.”

Members can download the latest edition of JASSA (a special edition on the global financial crisis, comprising articles generated from papers delivered at the 13th annual Finsia–Melbourne Centre for Financial Studies Banking and Finance Conference) at www.finsia.com/JASSA.
