Advocacy body FinTech Australia has just launched a new jobs board and already more than 100 companies have posted more than 650 jobs on it. It’s clear evidence early stage ventures are positioning for a recovery period for the second half of the year. And if you have a technical or engineering background, chances are your skills are in hot demand.
Online loan provider MoneyMe’s general counsel Naomi Saba, who is responsible for hiring, says COVID-19 has reinforced the need for candidates to be flexible. “We’re looking for people who can think on their feet and identify opportunities during events like COVID-19, such as new products for a new world and business opportunities that might not have existed before.”
The business is currently hiring Australian and New Zealand sales staff for its global proptech – property technology – company ListReady. Saba says the business is looking for candidates with the vision to think ahead about how it can increase value for partners and understand marketing and its relevance to the sales process.
