Australian Property Institute and the Financial Services Institute of Australasia present Queensland’s hallmark yearly event, Economic Indicators 2023.

Paul Bloxham, Chief Economist at HSBC for Australia, New Zealand, and Global markets headlines the event again this year. Don't miss the opportunity to hear Paul provide his worldly predications and sage insights for 2023.   

Dr Nicola Powell, Chief of Research and Economics at Domain will also be joining as a speaker. Nicola has over 15 years’ research experience. She has a deep understanding of the Australian property market and has focused on property and demographic trends for nearly 10 years.

Paul Bloxham

Paul Bloxham

Chief Economist, HSBC

Paul Bloxham is HSBC’s Chief Economist for Australia, New Zealand and Global Commodities and is a Managing Director. He is chief spokesperson for HSBC on forecasts and trends for the Australian and New Zealand economies and their interaction with global financial markets and international economies. Paul is also a key spokesperson on HSBC’s unique view on global commodity markets and works closely with HSBC’s global equities team. He is also a member of the Australian National University's Shadow Reserve Bank Board and is an Adjunct Professor at Curtin University.  

In 2017, Paul’s team won Focus Economics awards for best overall forecaster for each of Australia and New Zealand. Prior to joining HSBC in 2010, Paul Bloxham spent 12 years as an economist within the Reserve Bank of Australia's Economic Analysis Department. Paul holds a Master's degree in public financial policy from the London School of Economics.

Can I buy tickets offline? How?​

Can I purchase tickets at the door/gate/entrance?​

Tickets must be purchased at least one (1) business day prior to the event.

How will I receive my ticket?

You will receive a confirmation email for the event. There is no need to present this for entry on the day, as the Events Team will have your registration details on file.

What if I have dietary requirements?​

Please inform us of any dietary requirements you have so we can accommodate you on the day; you can email us at [email protected] once you have registered.

What is the dress code for events/am I required to wear my uniform?

Our preferred dress code for our events is business/smart casual; but you are more than welcome to wear your organisation’s uniform instead if that is their preference.

What should I bring with me to events?

Everything you need in relation to the event will be provided for you on the day (i.e. workbook, pen, notepad etc.)
